Bids for the Purchase of Surplus Equipment

Bid Procedure
Bids will be received by the City until 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 18th, 2024, at City Hall, 520 Jackson Avenue, Charleston, Illinois 61920, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened. Bids will be accepted on this bid form, in a sealed envelope marked “PW Surplus Equipment Bid.” The City of Charleston reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in the bid procedure, and to accept the bid considered to be in the best interest of the City. All items will be sold “as is.” Items may be inspected between 7:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. Monday—Friday at the Public Works yard at 815 Adkins Drive, Charleston, Illinois. Winning bidder shall make full payment for equipment within five (5) working days of bid award notification. Payment will be received in cash or cashier’s check in City Hall. Equipment title and keys will be surrendered at that time. Winning bidder must remove equipment from City property within five (5) working days after payment. Access the bid form here.
